Important photo privacy note: IDSnap Studio is designed to process selected photos locally in the app/browser environment for cropping, background adjustment, layout generation, downloading, and printing. We do not intentionally upload your selected photos to our own servers for these core functions.

1. Overview

IDSnap Studio (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a utility app that helps users create passport-size photo sheets. The App allows users to upload or capture a photo, crop and align it, adjust photo appearance, select paper and photo size presets, generate printable sheets, download files, and print them.

This Privacy Policy applies to the IDSnap Studio Android app, the WebView experience, and the related website/service at https://idsnapstudio.vercel.app.

IDSnap Studio is not a government service and is not affiliated with any passport office, government agency, identity authority, or official document issuer.

2. Information We Handle

The information handled by the App depends on the features you use. We aim to collect as little information as possible for the core passport photo sheet generation experience.

Notification information Push subscription status, notification token/identifier, notification delivery or interaction data To send optional app updates, feature announcements, or important service messages if you allow notifications
Advertising information, if ads are enabled Advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, ad interactions, and related signals handled by advertising partners To display, measure, and improve advertisements in accordance with applicable ad provider policies and user consent requirements
We do not require account registration for the core passport photo sheet generation workflow. We do not intentionally collect names, addresses, government ID numbers, contact lists, SMS, call logs, microphone recordings, or precise GPS location for the core App functionality.

3. Photos and Local Processing

Your photos may contain personal or sensitive information because they can show a face or image chosen by you. IDSnap Studio is designed so that the core editing and sheet-generation features run locally in your app/browser environment.

  • We do not intentionally upload your selected photos to our own servers for the core crop, edit, preview, download, or print process.
  • Photos selected in the App remain under your control on your device unless you choose to save, share, download, or print them.
  • Generated photo sheets are stored only when you choose to download or print them through your device or printer workflow.
  • If your device, operating system, browser, cloud backup provider, printer service, or sharing app processes files, that processing is controlled by those third-party services and their privacy practices.

4. App Permissions

The App may request certain device permissions only when needed to provide its features:

  • Camera: Allows you to capture a new photo for passport photo sheet creation.
  • Photos / Media / Storage: Allows you to select an image from your device and save generated files such as PNG, JPG, or PDF sheets.
  • Internet: Allows the Android WebView to load the IDSnap Studio web app and related service resources.
  • Notifications: Allows the App to send optional push notifications if you grant permission.
  • Print / Download access: Allows your device to open system download or print flows when you choose those actions.

You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are denied.

5. How We Use Information

We use information only for legitimate app functionality and service operation, including:

  • Providing photo upload, crop, alignment, background, adjustment, preview, download, and print features.
  • Maintaining app settings and improving usability.
  • Sending optional push notifications if you allow them.
  • Displaying and measuring ads if advertising is enabled.
  • Monitoring performance, preventing abuse, fixing bugs, and improving reliability.
  • Complying with legal, platform, security, and policy obligations.

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your selected photos or generated passport photo sheets. We do not intentionally share your selected photos with third parties for the core editing, layout, download, or print functions.

However, the App may use third-party services that process certain technical or service-related data to operate features:

  • OneSignal: Used for optional push notification delivery and notification-related analytics.
  • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, if enabled: Used to display and measure advertisements.
  • Google Play Services / Android system services: Used for app distribution, device functions, downloads, printing, permissions, and platform services.
  • Hosting and web infrastructure providers: Used to host and deliver the IDSnap Studio web experience.

Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and SDK disclosures. We recommend reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party services used through your device or app environment.

7. Ads and Notifications

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, IDSnap Studio may send useful updates, feature announcements, service messages, or important app-related information. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.

For notification delivery, OneSignal may process technical identifiers such as push tokens, subscription IDs, device information, app version, and notification interaction information.

Advertising

If advertisements are enabled in the App, Google AdMob or related advertising partners may collect and process advertising-related data such as device identifiers, ad interactions, approximate location, diagnostic data, and advertising measurement signals. Depending on your region and device settings, you may be presented with consent options for personalized or non-personalized ads.

8. Retention and Deletion

Because core photo processing is designed to run locally, we do not intentionally store your selected photos or generated sheets on our own servers for the core App functionality.

  • Photos and generated files: Remain on your device or chosen download/print/share destination until you delete them.
  • Local app/browser data: Settings or cached data may remain on your device until you clear app storage, browser/WebView data, or uninstall the App.
  • Notification data: Push subscription information may remain with the notification provider while notifications are enabled or as required for service operation.
  • Advertising and diagnostics data: Retention is handled according to the relevant third-party provider’s policies and applicable law.

You may request assistance with deletion or privacy questions by contacting us using the details below.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, downloaded files, and any photos or documents you choose to share outside the App.

10. Children’s Privacy

IDSnap Studio is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Your Choices and Controls

  • You can deny or revoke camera, media, storage, and notification permissions in your device settings.
  • You can delete downloaded PNG, JPG, or PDF files from your device.

  • You can turn off push notifications at any time in Android notification settings.
  • You can manage ad personalization through your Google and device settings where available.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, third-party services, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we update the policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
